Ponderosa Aero Club Expands with New Location at Nampa Municipal Airport
The Ponderosa Aero Club, one of the Pacific Northwest’s most established flying clubs, is expanding its presence in the Treasure Valley with a new location at Nampa Municipal Airport in Nampa, Idaho.
Expanding Opportunities for Treasure Valley Pilots
The new Nampa location will give club members greater flexibility and improved access to general aviation facilities in the Treasure Valley. Located about 20 minutes from Boise, Nampa Municipal Airport (KMAN) serves as a major general aviation hub with hundreds of based aircraft and thousands of annual flight operations.
By expanding operations to Nampa, Ponderosa Aero Club aims to:
-
Provide additional aircraft availability for members
-
Reduce congestion at Boise’s busy airspace
-
Offer convenient access for pilots living in Canyon County and surrounding communities
-
Support the growing demand for aircraft rental in the region
Strengthening the Local Aviation Community
The expansion to Nampa reflects the continued growth of aviation interest across the Treasure Valley. As general aviation activity increases in southwest Idaho, facilities like Nampa Municipal Airport are becoming key locations for flight training, aircraft maintenance, and recreational flying.
For new pilots, experienced aviators, and aviation enthusiasts alike, the additional location provides another gateway into Idaho’s vibrant flying community as well as in-house maintenance.
With its long-standing reputation, experienced instructors, and strong emphasis on safety, Ponderosa Aero Club’s new Nampa presence represents an exciting step forward for local aviation.
Both locations feature several club instructors to meet all our members needs.
