DESCRIPTION:The annual business meeting of Ponderosa Aero Club\, Inc. will be held on Saturday\, April 25 at 11:00 AM. \nThe agenda for the annual business meeting will include the following: \n\n General Manager Report\n Financial Report\n Bylaws Updates/Revisions\n Ratification of General Manager\n Election of the 2020 Board of Directors\n\nThe annual business meeting is open to all members of Ponderosa Aero Club.  Voting is limited to Active and Lifetime members only.  Associate\, Family\, and Spousal members are welcome to attend the meeting\, but are not allowed to vote per the corporation bylaws. \nThe meeting will be conducted remotely using Zoom.  Please get Zoom setup in advance of the meeting as we plan to start at 11:00 AM sharp! \nSee Club Member News for Meeting ID and Password! \nPonderosa Aero Club’s annual backcountry ground school will follow the annual meeting at 1:00 PM at the same location as the annual meeting.

SUMMARY:PAC Backcountry Ground School
DESCRIPTION:Ponderosa Aero Club’s annual backcountry ground school seminar will follow the Club’s annual meeting.  Starting at 1:00 PM at Independence Indoor Shooting\, the backcountry ground school is required for any Ponderosa Aero Club member who has never attended backcountry ground school and who would like to fly in the backcountry using club aircraft.  This is also a great opportunity for other club members to increase awareness and safety regarding density altitude\, aircraft performance\, and other aspects to mountain flying. \nWe are excited to announce that renowned mountain flying CFI Amy Hoover will be providing this year’s seminar!  With a PhD in educational leadership\, Amy teaches mountain flying at Central Washington University\, she co-founded/owned McCall Mountain Canyon Flying Seminars\, and she has other entrepreneurial endeavors\, including writing Mountain\, Canyon\, and Backcountry Flying along with Dick Williams\, published last year.  Amy even flew for our hangar-mate SP Aircraft in the 1990’s! \nPlan on spending your Saturday afternoon with us on April 25 and help yourself prepare for safe flying in the backcountry in 2020!
